I’ve hated reading books all my life. But I’m having a lot of trouble waiting for this book!

I had also near death experience and I was in this darkness, which can be very frightening. I think about that almost every day, can't wait to get his new book. Also wanted to say, that when I was a child I had a walk with some grown ups and remember stopping them to ask something, only I couldn't formulate it and just told them to get back to their conversation. I wanted to ask why me is me, and I am not them, and how comes I feel things, but I would never feel what someone else feels. It was very scary. To this day it feels like I can't explain it, but it seems we are much more alone then we realize we are.

The circle you are talking about make me think of Camille Flammarion's engraving of the firmament. Can't wait to read your book.

Very relevant, especially if you’ve had a NDE. I admire Robert for his courage, honesty and the beautiful way he explains things.

I like his explanation of childhood. As you get older the sense of wonder slowly dissipates

When life gives you sub lemons, exchange them for sublimes.

The idea that childhood itself is Sublime totally hit me. Those innocent moments of wonder we lose as we grow older… If we could just reconnect with that sense of awe, life would be so much richer, right?

Pausing during my walk, but I found the two types of sublime interesting. Notably the second one where you overcome incredible odds. Also was interested in how our current culture is incredibly constricted. Some of it doesn’t even feel “current” but very alien, like we’re picking up the codes of a different time period. Also didn’t know Kant wrote about the sublime. I gotta check out if there’s anything valuable in his writing. I usually only hear negative things about the man.😭
