I worked on this buildings roof early 1990s. diamond drilling. Spent a week there. Its better than inside the shop. There's a cottage. Flower garden. Vegetable garden. Green-house with tomatoe and chilly plants. A Polly tunnel. Lawns. What looked like street gas lights (electric) Bar-B-Q white picket fence. Staff have their lunch there in good weather and someone lives in the cottage. The guy who lived in the cottage was a security guard/Commissionaire/Part of the furniture/handy man bloke. He'll be dead now (RIP) He was a character. A Irish bloke who liked talking to us as we worked. He used to vanish indoors when the staff had their breaks. Not that he didn't like them he said there were to many of them at one time. As for us there only two so he liked the company I guess. I worked on some very high buildings in London and its a different world. Hidden from the busy Streets, I was surprised how many people lived up on the top of buildings. Not just security but owners too, the views are fantastic. Best 5th Nov ever was on top of BroadGate liverpool Street working late we sat and watched London's fireworks go off.

Very cool cultural immersion. It's the type of travel that I love, seeing what life is really like in a place. Also, I'm really impressed with the footage from the DJI Osmo Pocket. The early sample footage I saw was not great but this turned out really well. Makes me really consider it as a new walking camera. Have you thought about approaching stores like this to sponsor a vid? It might be a good way to fund your walks. Thanks as always for sharing -Henry

LoL....not the same kind of store that one would have found 'Mr. Humphries, of ''Are You Being Served?" fame, working in; well, not with the outfits the Sales Clerks are geared-up in; they all looked so untidy--shirts untucked. This store just looks like a 5 floored Walmart from an upscale setting. The merchandise is so similar, down to the electronics; but the Furniture Dept. is a Hoot---looks more like a cross between Ikea in the dining arrangements to the Living Room...that looks so 70's in those colors and styling...surely it all can't be retro....John WHY would Mr. Grace EVER think of buying such a store? But, really, thanks for the video..
