Difference in Studying: Doctorate vs Bachelors | Physical Therapy School

What are some key study habits that I had to change from my Bachelors to my Doctorate of Physical Therapy studying?

At the bachelors level, it was all about getting the highest grade possible to get the highest GPA possible in order to get into DPT school.

At the doctorate level, it's about understanding the concepts and figuring out WHY instead of WHAT.

Which learning style are you? Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic? Figure that out, and save TONS OF TIME with your studying.

Along with grinding with studying, it is just as important to learn how to rest and intentionally take time away from studying. This sounds counter-productive, but in actuality, it helps improve your efficiency.

I struggled with deciding between pursuing PT and AT, and it all came down to lack of observation hours because of covid and my gpa(bad undergrad freshman year)..I ended up pursuing AT in the end and it was a relief in the sense that I don't have to worry about impressing admission boards with my gpa anymore, I just need to focus on knowing content and understanding it

I don’t think I’m going to apply to csun’s dpt program anymore! I’m thinking of applying to Azusa Pacific nowadays because I know they accept around 70 people compared to 30 at csun. The only other prerequisites I would need besides the bachelors of course are a psych class and a bio class. I’m just scared because I know it’s an accelerated program of 120 units in 3 years. Anyway, you will be hearing a lot from me in the future bro :) hope you’re doing well these days as a PT!!!

Hey!
I'm applying for a PT undergrad degree and I found your channel when searching for some information that could help me.
What I understood is that undergrad is 4 years then comes the doctorate, so my question is do I HAVE to get into DPT school after finishing my undergrad degree? Or I could just work with the degree I already have
Also, do we take the board exam AFTER doctorate or before ? I'm just so confused and I didn't have anybody to ask. Please do help 😭😭🙏🏻
