Crunh free working environment results in healthy mental. this can boost productivity.. insomniac has done amazing thing. no wonder they managed to give out 2 games in less time .

Personally, I was thinking about the game being held back as I was thinking about the first title. As an open world game, I dont really see how it was held back, it'll be more of the same as the first which runs well on the PS4, with more bells and whistles for the PS5. I dont see a title like HFW like RnC needing to be on the PS5 from the ground up. Yeah! Maybe they could of added some things but I couldn't think of what they would of added if so. Maybe this is just me, but they did flesh out the world (which was big enough on the first) and gave us more combat moves and tools to use. A bigger game doesn't necessarily mean better.

To be unafraid to come off as a whale or fanboy [‘cause I’m not either], it disappoints me that there hasn’t been any collector’s editions for PS5 games. I would have definitely got one for Rift Apart, and I most DEFINITELY want one for the next God of War. Maybe HFW too.

Ratchet and clank all downloaded and waiting to be played, awesome news about no crunch too, games will only get better because of it, tho players being a bit more patient to get the games would help this I would think

I'm waiting for Sony to release the PS5 in other colours, so I hope by then there will be availability in my country. Not paying 3x the amount it's supposed to cost. 😥

Hell yes Horizon forbidden west would have looked way better if it was only for Playstation 5 and that goes for the next gran turismo and God of War they just need to focus only on Playstation 5 and let the Playstation 4 die and I don't give a dam who doesn't have Playstation 5 i have one and that's all that matters

Ayo Nixne! The problem with the argument that if its cross gen it was held back is that one creates their own unfasifiable vision of what the game "could" be so in that sense you are always right and the dev is always wrong. Full stop. You have created an vision that the devs can never tell you otherwise. According to DF, ReVillage on gen 8 was "demaked" from the Gen 9 version. How do you know that the Gen 9 versions wasn't fully 100% of their vision?
When the nemesis system A.I was created, they could not fulfill their vision on 7th Gen consoles so they waited for 8th Gen consoles and started development of Shadow of war on it. They eventually decide to demake it and made a gutted version of the nemesis system on 7th Gen while keeping their vision intact on 8th gen. We got 2 versions on release. This is going to be largely a generation of performance and fidelity. 2 things you can easily "demake" with a cross gen version. I don't see a new GOW or uncharted doing something so Absurd that it can't be on ps4 unless loading speed is literally its core system.

As much as i want to believe this, there is one thing that i know for a fact, that a lot of the fans from Horizon: Zero Dawn wanted in the sequel and that is flying on the thunderbirds! Now, there is one limiting factor that holds back the flying on those things. Any guesses? Exactly! A regular HDD apparently isn't fast enough. I've heard this over in a YouTube video were there was interview with one of the devs and they were looking in to this stuff. I mean, i think it would be really cool. It's not a dealbreaker or anything, but to say that the PS4 doesn't hold back the PS5, i just don't believe that. I think that visually, it won't hold back as much as we may think. Ray-tracing can still be implemented, i also believe it will have 3D audio etc... So in that regard, i'm happy. But we'll have to wait and see until we play the game if they succeeded for us to fly those Thunderbirds! Of course, it might also well be that it isn't an aspect of the game and that we don't need to fly it. But, i mean, i don't see why we couldn't have the ability just to overwrite a TB and take control over that thing and then fly away! 😎

Actually you can't say it was held back, you didn't develop it, you didn't know their goals, another thing you can't say they are able to take full advantage of what PS5 has to offer this early, Rachet and Clank is built ground up and still isn't out stripping HFW visually or aurally, we don't know technically but visually you can't say a thing against it yet. See you're attempting to tell a developer he's wrong without thinking about the current time they had behind a locked down finalized hardware. You're making assumptions without basis. Perhaps if the PS5 was in year 3 and he said that then you can watch him side eye for his comment.

Less than a year in let's not act like any developer can get a wrangle on the hardware to pull off crazy feats, it just doesn't happen, everything takes time to develop.

Only reason Ratchet and Clank is PS5 only is due to how the game mechanics are, they wanted instantaneous world shifting and PS4 is not capable of that, it also seems like they restructured level design to remove pointless winding pathways which obscure the view to mask texture load in. If it wasn't for the world swapping instantly, Ratchet and Clank could with some design changes be a PS4 title, not saying it would be easy as they'd have redesign the open areas to include sections to mask open areas loading and/or make them smaller and less detailed. Other than taking advantage of the I/O speed for in game mechanics, what else do you see a built from the ground up PS5 title doing that the cross gen titles are being held back on? Think carefully about what I pointed out. Not attacking you or anything, but we need to be careful of what we say when talking about developers. We, weren't there and if you think about it there can't be enough time to gain massive technical know how of PS5 to comfortably implement things that PS4 simply can't do. I expected HFW to look held back, but it looked absolutely stunning and it's not even finalized yet. We haven't even seen any techniques for PS5 aside from hardware enabled boosts. First year, year and a half, I'll give them leeway to say development wasn't held back, but after that that excuse can't be accepted you had almost 2 and a half years to get to know this thing, you should be able to pull off things a PlayStation 4 would get weak in the knees just sniffing.
