My favorite player growing up as a kid in Detroit in the 90's. People say he never passed the puck, he passed it all the time to the back of the net. Half of his shots were leaving the net before the goalie knew they went in.

I read that the Ilitche family is sensitive about retiring his number. They were allegedly hurt when he left the team. IDK if this was factually accurate though.
