Louis C.K. was canceled and cut out of comedy due to sexual misconduct, but his Grammy win on Sunday for his 2020 special, "Sincerely Louis C.K.," in which he joked about the #MeToo movement, renewed the debate over what it means to 'cancel' someone.

i don't think louis ever should've been "cancelled". he asked for consent before he did what he did. these women said it was ok. i don't buy the whole "oh, he was in a position of power so he shouldn't have asked". women who work crappier jobs than famous comedians have turned down men, regardless if it affected their jobs. to say "if she said no, then she would've ruined her career". first of all: BS. second: if you want to be famous so bad that you'll throw out your own morals, that's on you.

I'm mostly surprised Marilyn Manson got a Grammy just because of the quality of his music.

Aziz didnt deserve to be cancelled what he did wasn't criminal, it was a ridiculous overcorrection... Louis willing to do the work and acknowledge what hes done, of course he can work again. Harvey has been criminally prosecuted, when he pays his dues and is actually sorry which doesnt seem like it...everyone has the right to earn a living tho.

I liked the wave. It made me feel very welcome 😁 and she's right about cancel culture too. It's been around forever. Social media is the new part. It massively fuels the "verdict".

Mel Gibson is a great example. He is a fully open anti-Semite and HATES Jews and Muslims amongst any other religion which isn't Christian, but Jews and Muslims are top on his list, yet he still has a career. Granted his career is not what it used to be, but I personally refuse to watch any movies with Mel Gibson which sucks because there are a lot of great movies with other actors whom I appreciate their work and their talent but I refuse to support his hatred for other people. That goes to the societal role we all play in any version of Cancel Culture which they were talking about. If more people remembered the vial things he said, which you can find on YouTube, I think more people would also boycott his work. Mel Gibson later released an apology, but it was manufactured by a writer, there wasn't any sincerity in it, and he hasn't changed his hatred of other people for their religious beliefs, he's just much less publicly vocal about it.

Jeff needs to go to therapy for his time on big brother and his “cancellation” because he brigs it up every episode and it’s something he clearly hasn’t worked through.

Obviously, the opinion of Jeff is all that matters.
