In this video, I dive into a comparison that might surprise you: Mastercard's Luxury Hotel and Resorts program versus the renowned Fine Hotels and Resorts by American Express. After my recent stay at the Virgin Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee, I'm seriously reconsidering old stereotypes about Amex perks. Unlike its competitor, Mastercard's World Elite and World Mastercard holders can access similar benefits without hefty annual fees. Many credit card issuers offer Mastercards cards without any annual fee, making luxury more accessible than ever. During my stay at the Virgin Hotel, I enjoyed perks like early check-in, late check-out, complimentary breakfast, and a $100 food and beverage credit—all reminiscent of the benefits offered by Fine Hotels and Resorts. If you're curious about how Mastercard's luxury offerings stack up, don't miss this video! Join me as I explore firsthand what Mastercard Luxury Hotel and Resorts have to offer, starting with my experience at the Virgin Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. See for yourself if these benefits rival those of American Express Fine Hotel and Resorts.

Who needs FHR when we got this! 👍🏼 Nice to see how it compares. Glad to see I can get these benefits without having to pay $$ to hold a certain card.

I think for those who don’t have the platty this fills that void and checks the boxes. If someone already has the platty and isn’t getting rid of it, I don’t know if it’s enough to make them not use FHR.

I like your reaction when you got the full bottle of wine. Like a kid that just raided the liquor cabinet 😂 Fantastic review! I'm definitely interested in using my World Elite card to try this out.

Were you able to add your loyalty number and have it recognized like FHR?

Informative video! Couple of questions:
- Just to clarify, did the hotel credit of $35/person breakfast cover gratuity, or did you have to pay for that out of pocket? Same with the $100 food & bev credit
- Were there any fees at all for interacting with Mastercard concierge? I.e. any additional fees for calling them to book the hotel, request recommendations, etc

$7 markup but I'm assuming the cheaper one didn't have the food credits?

The annoying vocal fry in their accents ugh lol. I don’t believe we are all American 😩. Great vid tho, I’ve always wondered about this when I first heard Mastercard does this. It’s so weird that they don’t talk up the fact that that they have almost the same system as Amex for cheaper.
