Eco friendly products might not be the first thing that comes to mind when designing a kitchen, but choosing environmentally friendly products is something we should all consider as we embark on a renovation. Due to myself having lung issues and the rsst of my family having bad allergies, I had to watch all VOC ratings when selecting materials for pur kitchen. Even down to selecting a convection range instead of a gas range to slim down off gasses into the our home.

What can you tell me about kitchen composters? I'm planning on a small footprint, so another appliance is not a happy thought. As a townhouse, compost bins out back are NOT an option...so I'm back to considering them. Any thoughts?
