R.I.P Stephen McDannell HillenBurg (1961-2018)

Stephen McDannell Hillenburg (Lawton, Oklahoma, August 21, 1961 - San Marino, California, November 26, 2018) was an animator, cartoonist and American marine biologist best known for being the creator of the cartoon SpongeBob Pants Square, in addition to working with Joe Murray in Rocko's Modern Life.

Stephen was a marine biologist who became interested in sea sponges, as a support for him to create the drawing. Stephen changed the shape of the sea sponge into a dish sponge. And so the main character of the drawing appeared, with time, others appeared.

In March 2017, Hillenburg was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

He died on November 26, 2018, at age 57, due to complications in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, a progressive and rare neurodegenerative disease.

Wean is a great and underrated band. One of the few bands you can not here for 10 years, then a song comes on you've never heard before and you're like "OMG, THAT'S WEEN!" That's what happened to me when this came on at the end of the Sponge Bob movie. They're so distinctive.
