Oi everyone! As pointed out by many in the comments, there were a few scripting errors in the video.

Appalachian State is not the only FCS team to defeat a Power 5 opponent. They were the FIRST to win against a RANKED opponent. Sorry for the confusion!

Thank you for all of the support!

My freshman high school teacher was the quarterback for the Miami Redskins from 1985-1986, Terry Morris. He threw an upset against Louisiana State University in the second game of the season. He was inducted into their hall of fame in the 2000s, taught me in 2019-2020 but I had no idea about any of this until it was too late to talk to him about it

Very well done Squid. This must have taken forever to put together.

You should talk about Navy and Army stealing each others mascots before the game. One time a group of future SEALs stole the army mule and had a car chase with police with a helicopter

Love the video, slight error on the subject of Archie Griffin, though I'm sure it was a typo. He played from '72-'75. Can't wait for more!

You said Nick Saban “won 6 national championships” that’s wrong, he was 7 national championships. 1 with LSU and 6 with Alabama. The most of all time.

No Alabama fan thinks the kick six was one of the greatest moments in college football history. Fourth and 31 was a far greater moment and game.

Correction needed at 37:44

In 2021 the Jacksonville State Gamecocks of Jacksonville Alabama defeated Florida State
This was before Jacksonville State moved up to Division 1 FBS

The shared championships has to be the dumbest way to go about championships

College Gameday actually went to Lubbock 2 consecutive weeks in 2008. #1 Texas @ #7 Texas Tech (an instant classic), then #9 Oklahoma State @ #2 Texas Tech (a 36-point blowout).

The "Appalachian State beating Michigan is the only time an FCS team beat a Power 5 team" claim is completely untrue. Here's a list of games where Power Conference teams lost to an FCS team since 2007:

2023: Sacramento State beat Stanford 30-23
2022: Southern Illinois beat Northwestern 31-24
2021: Montana beat #20 Washington 13-7
2021: East Tennessee State beat Vanderbilt 23-3
2021: Jacksonville State beat Florida State 20-17
2021: Northern Arizona beat Arizona 21-19
2019: The Citadel beat Georgia Tech 27-24 in Overtime
2018: Nicholls State beat Kansas 26-23 in Overtime
2017: Liberty beat Baylor 48-45
2016: Northern Iowa beat Iowa State 25-20
2016: Richmond beat Virginia 37-20
2016: Illinois State beat Northwestern 9-7
2016: North Dakota State beat #13 Iowa 23-21
2015: Portland State beat Washington State 24-17
2015: South Dakota State beat Kansas 41-38
2015: The Citadel beat South Carolina 23-22
2014: North Dakota State beat Iowa State 34-14
2013: North Dakota State beat Kansas State 24-21
2013: Eastern Washington beat #25 Oregon State 49-46
2013: Northern Iowa beat Iowa State 28-20
2013: Georgia Southern beat Florida 26-20
2012: Youngstown State beat Pitt 31-17
2012: Sacramento State beat Colorado 30-28
2011: Richmond beat Duke 23-21
2011: Sacramento State beat Oregon State 29-28
2011: North Dakota State beat Minnesota 37-24
2010: Jacksonville State beat Ole Miss 49-48 in 2OT
2010: North Dakota State beat Kansas 6-3
2010: James Madison beat #13 Virginia Tech
2010: South Dakota State beat Minnesota 41-38
2009: Richmond beat Duke 24-16
2009: William and Mary beat Virginia 26-14
2007: Appalachian State beat #5 Michigan 34-32
2007: Northern Iowa beat Iowa State 24-13
2007: North Dakota State beat Minnesota 27-21

As you can see, this is a very long list as this is a relatively common occurrence

I thought NCAA football was canceled because they couldn’t pay the players for using their name and likeness
