Unlike some of the other cut content, I see why they took this out. I can see the argument for keeping it in as well, but I do think the Lumity Kiss in Clouds On The Horizon is a better use of this important moment, but this is very cute too.

To be honest, I’m glad Luz and Amity had their first kiss during “Clouds on the Horizon”. It would’ve been cool to have it here, but Dana said the reason why it was cut was because Luz was going through some emotional stuff at that time and she wanted the kiss to be impactful. I like what Dana decided on here. That’s why her and The Owl House crew are such great and creative people.

Sometimes the hardest decisions, are often the right ones.

While I’m upset this scene didn’t make it into the show, I’m also partially relieved because it allowed Lumity’s first kiss to happen in the penultimate episode of Season 2.

I can see why Dana did not put the first Lumity kiss in Reaching Out. She saved it for Clouds on the Horizon and it was worth it.

What we got was better. In this case, their first kiss happened partially out of Luz’s pain instead of pure love like what we were given in Clouds on the Horizon

I can see why this Dana didn’t put this for “Reaching Out.” They had to cut it because of all the emotional stuff Luz was going through. But she did saved it for “Clouds of the Horizons” and you gotta admit, it definitely was worth it. Dana made a very wise decision here.
