They’re actually just Roma tomatoes. San Marzano have to be grown in San Marzano, Italy. We visited where they grow and they explained they get their amazing taste from the ash soil from Mt Vesuvius and the sea salty air. Your video is amazing. I’m learning to can the vegetables I grew since moving out of the city. Thank you for sharing

I've had that same immersion blender for like 5 years, but in red. I never read the instructions. And by watching this video I just learned that there was a speed control on the handle. Thank you LOL

I’m getting ready to can mine too. I’ve been throwing them in the freezer and waiting for the last big harvest to get going. I love canning too.❤️

Beautiful Renae, and what a blessing to have them on your selves for the winter. God bless.

I got up early for this video when you said you were going to post it during your chat. That is a beautiful thick sauce! I like making sauce this way without blanching. The skins and seeds add so much flavor to the sauce. What a brilliant red color. That’s the way I like them.

Your Grandma was right about tomatoes cleaning the pans. I use ketchup to keep my copper bottom pans nice and shiny. Just smear a thick layer on it and let it dry. Then just wash away the dark stuff with a washcloth or scrubby and you have a shiny new pan.

Thanks for sharing this! The sauce turned out so beautiful! I always do the old method and my sauce was watery. Next time I am trying this for sure!❤

My husband picked my san marsano tomatoes so I just finished washing and cutting them. Tomorrow going to cook them down. I still have about 10 tons in my garden. Great year for tomatoes.😊

I use a roasting pan to cook my tomatoes down. Leaves my stove free to use. Those tomatoes look great. I have a hard time growing them in New Mexico

Good morning Renea!! I am looking forward to canning my tomatoes as well. Could not find any San Marzano plants at the market this year. I have a bunch of Romas. Next year will do San Marzano from seed.
