To me, Mongols will always be my #1 just because of how well their Cav Archers sing with their other units. Not only is the Hussar a natural pairing, effectively acting as bonus health for the cav archers, but Drill Onagers are a power counter-the-counters card that acts as a wild against units that usually dominate Cav Archers, but Mongol are not themselves weak to Onagers in return 'cause Mangudai and Light Cav.

But Hera also brings up a super good point -- Cav Archers take awhile to get to full upgrades, so anything that gets them more upgraded, earlier, and for free, just cannot be ignored; Georgian health regen, Vietnamese health, and Tatar Thumb Ring are broad-use power spikes that become relevant long before Hussar walls are possible, helping to seal games earlier with constant pressure.

Another small advantage that makes the Georgians' CA so strong is that they take less damage when they have high ground, which reduces potential damage by half (-40% instead of -25% like all other civs).
And I'm surprised you didn't mention Japanese CA since they are the best in CA vs CA matchups. They are almost like camel archers.

I’ve been working on a cool build that’s like 6-7 scouts in fuedal with like a 35 vil up time into 3 ranges and 2 TCs, while getting ballistics at a reasonable time. It’s like an all in 1TC play where you get 2TCs constantly producing.

The list is definitely correct when you consider "cav archer civs"
If you want "the best cav archer" it's magyar cav archers, hands down, but as a civ, it's only recently they even got a bonus that applies in the castle age, before that they were actually worse than generic in castle age, as they have no eco bonuses to support them.

Tartars don't get the best CA, but they get so many great CA bonuses to get them rolling that I have to agree with the list.
I don't quite understand why Japanese isn't on the list though, and Georgians did.
Georgians lack the last armor upgrade, and more importantly thumb ring, while Japanese get bonus damage against archers with their CA.

This means in castle age they be quite effective against archers, and other CA civs.
While not as prominent as some others on this list, surely it deserves a mention.

Dont forget the surprisingly effective korean cav archers! Free armor upgrades plus highest CA discount in castle age (20 wood saved per unit). If you need a quick distraction before building your castle, they can be handy before you start massimg wagons.

Expected Magyars to be first (personal preference for the civ overall), but I see the logic for Tatars, great civ too!

Another surprise, would be Saracens as another honorable mention. They are fully upgraded generic CA, but with the healing technology from the castle, a mass of them can heel in less than a min if they are able to create space. (I know all civs can do this, but not be able to heal at the same fast rate!)

The top 3 can easily be a shared top 1. Yet it makes sense for Tatars veing #1 for you due to free upgrades. Same principle cuould be applied to the Turk Hussar. The upgrades a free and kick in instant (saving resources and time for the research).

I really love how balanced Magyars, Mongols and Tatars are. They have top 10 best lategames so far but getting there is not easy (unlike Georgians, I hate Georgians).

PD: Would be cool to see a video of your favorite army comps (mostly in the 4fun aspect) either for 1v1s or TGs.

I love Tatars. Sheep bonus makes scouts into CA very smooth. But predictable.
