Yesterday my favourite teacher was having a bad day and I tried to make her feel better because she had a really bad last week aswell because she was dealing with behavioral issues all day and she also had parent teacher interviews which went until 8.30pm so she didnt get home until 9pm and she was obviously exhausted. I wrote her a note telling her how much we appreciate her and how amazing she is and this morning when she saw me she thanked me and told me how much it meant to her that I was looking out for her. She also said she was amazed at how empathetic and kind I was. For reference here is pretty much what the note said;

I wanted to write this note because me and my friends have noticed you have been dealing with a lot lately at school and we want you to know that we appreciate you and we notice everything you do for us. You always try your best to make us happy and excited about school, you always take time to make sure we're doing well and always check up on us if you notice us looking upset, sick, or even if we are just looking a bit tired. We want to thank you for everything you do to make sure we are happy and healthy both physically and mentally.

We also want to make sure you are also happy and healthy and we want you to know that we notice the days when maybe you didn't get enough sleep or you had to deal with a lot either the day before or that morning. We notice you and we love you so make sure you take care of yourself too and as much as we love you putting all your effort into making us feel appreciated and accepted please make sure you look after yourself and stay healthy both physically and mentally because the only thing we hate more than having a bad day is having a teacher whoes having a bad day.

I’m a freshman in high school, and I was in advanced English 1. The teacher I got was AWFUL, she never taught us, grades SOOOO harshly, and is absent so much that now the district doesn’t pay for her subs anymore, she does. Anyways, I was in my second parent teacher conference with her, and her husband (who’s a soccer coach and geography teacher at the school) walked in, and they started arguing. And they were arguing abt the weirdest thing, I think it was like when they had to leave for the day and pay their babysitter. But they argued for like 5 minutes and me and my mom were just sitting there awkwardly trying not to laugh. Anyways, she’s gotten in trouble for a bunch of parent and student complaints, but there’s such a big teacher shortage so they won’t fire her. (But I dropped down a level to regular English 1, and it’s so much easier)
