The only toxic thing here is that the father allowed this to happen for so long, and now his child will likely never be truly independent. Rich parents do this a lot, and it just ruins the family in the generations to come.

Well when he puts it like that, he's got a point.

Having a kid, it's your job to try to make your child an independant and confident grownup.
She better cuts off contact with 'father' and his resources and try to be independent.

I need to know the context because it sounds like he's being harsh but there are no lies

But you allowed this to keep happening. As a parent it’s you’re responsibility to install a since of responsibility into you kid.. you failed

This is bonding? And toxic? It’s bad parenting and the truth…

Anyone seeing this after Season 3 knows how much Yas' dad was not as magnanimous as it appears. He wanted her to stay to dependent, it was part of the abuse. From her body to her career he owned every aspect of her existence. She tried to break free and people couldn't see anything more than a spoiled girl.

WokeBO calls this toxic, while normal people call it harsh reality 😂

What he’s saying maybe factual, but it only highlights his failure as a father.

Telling truth to your child is the best thing a parent can do. We did give them birth, we spent our life for them. Cared of them in every possible way. Helped them get on to their feet. We helped them to begin their life, we just expect that they are thankful and know what we sacrificed for them. is it wrong to expect they would help us in our final days.

This is a great show, that no one seems to be watching. He speaks the truth.

I don't know what show or movie this is. I'd like to see it. Looking from the outside, without relating to any of the characters. Protagonist or Antagonistic the truth hurts. What truths or skeletons are in the Father's closet? My Dad has berated me during some of the most difficult times of my life. When he did, he spewed nothing but truth, but never abandoned me during those times either.

What’s toxic is the delivery of this truth.
He’s condescending, shaming, yet apparently paid her way which is enabling. He’s also at fault.

No one would want to be talked to this way, you would immediately go on the offense.

You can be truthful without being self righteous.
