Tip! When you are changing colors in crochet just snip the ends a little longer and crochet over them! Then you don’t have to weave them in, you can tie a knot before crocheting over them if you want a little extra security, but it saves a lot of time

when you start after you get the measurement of your head make it into a circle, so slip stitch into the back loop of the very first stitch, then at the end you can just sew the back loops of each stitch together. Also for the ends just put them on top of the loops you're about to go in and the ends just disappear

you can use the same stand of yarn the whole time btw. so you only sew the end strands at the top of the hat and the bottom

To everyone else who wants to makes a cat beanie as well, try chaining the circumference of your head and crocheting in a circle then sew the top . That way you can keep trying it on until the length is what you want

I find it easier to make a chain and slip stitch to make a ring then double crochet the rows up

The folded part goes at the side of your head as that is where it stretches most. To have the stiffer cat ears you have to sew the top closed or you can slip stitch is. Give it another try !!!! 😊

Tip:
-you need to mesaure your head size (wrapimg the measureing tape around your head) and whatever number you get divide it by 2 then thats how many stiches you make!!
-make sure to strech the foundation chains when measuring them
(If i made any mistakes here PLEASE tell me i'm just trying to be helpful as i did get the size wrong with making a hat before lol 😭)

u can make a cat beanie by chaining to where it fits ur head and and slip stitching into the first chain and yeah (i love that made it into a bag. its so cute!)
