He was heartbroken. He spent the last 40 years of his life taking care of Dorothy‘s mother and he married a sister, but I think it was more like to have a connection with her family and they all Dorothy‘s mom, Louise, and Peter all live together since 1988 to 2022 three of them live together in Toluca Lake, even though Louise was divorced from Peter since like 2001, but they remained still living together, he bought Louise a car when she was 16 paid for her to go to school supported her Dorothy‘s mom he spent the last year taking care of that he goes if Dorothy was here. This would be my family now he gets to be with Dorothy, this guy was an extraordinary film pioneer Director Paper moon with Tatum O’Neill and Ryan O’Neill. She won her first Academy award for paper moon, directed by Peter Bogdanovich.
