No Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero that won the Dakar Rally (toughest rally in the world) overall 12 times???

I still think the Toyota landcruser 70 series is outstanding compared to the others

Missed Mitsubishi Pajero / Montero / Shogun generation 2, one of the best super select 4x4 with brilliant suspension setup. Also winning Dakar Rally 12 times and that still a record.

You missed out the landcruiser 80 series...the mother of all SUVs shown here.

I would kick out the discovery 3 (with it's major engine issues) and replace it with a Discovery 1, the model that saved land rover from bankruptcy in the 90s.

Jeep Wrangler and Toyota FJ40 should have been the top 2. Bronco #1??? No way and I’m a bronco lover. Also no love for the Mitsubishi Montero?? Monteiro won the Paris Dakar rally 12 out of the 26 times it entered, including seven in a row. Definitely deserve to be in the top 15. Maybe you should’ve kicked the Lamborghini out and put the Mitsubishi in

Amazing compilation! Glad to see the Jeep Wrangler made the list. It’s been my go-to off-road vehicle for years, never disappoints.

Sorry, anybody who claims reliability and a Rover in same sentence is just a joke. No 80 series land-cruiser, and no international harvesters!

Hummer has to be the funniest of them all. Especially the 2006 era. Yes I know the military ones were extremely capable. They had portal axels and all. But the kind GM tried were hilarious.

#1… I’m shocked! But, I get it… it’s a great vehicle. However, my favorite will always be the Toyota Land Cruiser 40. Drove one for two weeks in Costa Rica and it literally took us everywhere with ease and dependability!

Well, not sure exactly what factors were considered . Safari tour operators in Africa rely on almost exclusively Toyotas, and for the few tourists, who demand a Land Rover, they charge higher prices and send a Toyota along as backup vehicle.

To me personally this video is missing 2 (or 3) even more capable offroad vehicles: The Pinzgauer, (and the Haflinger) and the Volvo C303
Also the part about the Merceds G starts with an Error. At it's introduction in 1979 four different engines were offered, but not the 250GD. You could get a 230GE and 280GE as well as the 240GD and the 300GD. The 230 was a 4 cyl gasoline/petrol engine, the 280 an inline 6.
The 240 and 300 were both NA Diesels with 4 and 5 cylinder layout.
The 250GD replaced the 240GD in 1988. So 9 years after the G-class went on sale.
The second mistake: the military got their vehicles at the same time, so it wasn't after a former military vehicle. It was first develloped for the military (the Shah of Persia wanted one for his military, but after the revolution in his country Mercedes also turned to the idea of a civlian version.
Also it's not to show that Mercedes could build one, as they knew that they lacked the knowledge at the moment it all started and cooperated with offroad Sepcialist Steyr Daimler Puch in Austria. The cooperation is still ongoing today, even though the Steyr part is now owned by Magna.
But all G-classes were and are still made in the same place. In Graz, Austria.

I’m sorry. The Bronco ranked higher than the Wrangler & Defender. Credibility, lost
