Honestly i think this is a good start but the easiest way to combat a lot of xim players would be to allow input based matchmaking when cross play comes in s4, let people just plug a keyboard into their console and get put into keyboard lobbies, a lot of people would give up using them if they just had the choice

Tbh they should allow mouse and keyboard support officially to let people exclusively matchmake in PC lobbies. And still have the mouse trap to put them in the lobbies if they're bypassing, this will ensure people don't xim until they get into PC lobbies. I haven't played on console in a long time, but I've met many xim players who just can't afford a PC and want to play with mnk. Obviously theirs people who do it for an unfair advantage but I think this a good method if they're already allowing console players to play in PC pool if they want

just warn xim players to use a controller during a game, and then if they don’t stop, it’ll kick them from the match with repercussions like a penalty or something

Apex legends does console to pc as well its a good touch, you gain access to mechanics exclusive to pc servers

I love this change it allows for players to play with whatevers comfortable. Id love to see something like this for pc so you can play on controller with other controller players.

So, the detection system can’t truly figure out if someone is on MnK and is using blanket penalties on everyone with a wired accessory. My friend on console was penalized (movements were slowed) because the system thought he was using a XIM but he was in fact, playing with a wired controller. I wonder if the system will penalize those who charge their controller and play at the same time.

Can they get the strike packs out of here too. Detect a similar fire rate pattern in their inputs and see if they’re consistent or natural

Many of this problems would be solved if they release native kb and mouse function. I'm in Brazil and many people here use mouse and kb adapters simply because they can't afford a gaming pc
