Eritrea and 4 Other Countries in the World Has No Official Language.
There are five countries in the world that do not have an official language. These countries are the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Costa Rica, and Eritrea.Eritrea is a multilingual state, and its constitution confirms that all languages are equal in the country. Tigrinya is the De facto language of Eritrea which had over 2,540,000 speakers in 2006. Tigrinya is widely spoken in the central and southern parts of the country. Other Eritrean national languages include Tig, Nara, Saho, Kunama, Bilen, Beja, Afar, and Arabic. English together with Tigrinya are the de facto working languages, while the government does not recognize Italian (their previous colonial language). This is Africa in 30 seconds. My youngest daughter could speak someTigrenya before she could speak any English. The thing interesting about that is she is a White/Cherokee girl in Northern California. Quite a few of our neighbors were from Asmara, Eritrea. It is a beautiful soothing language I thought.

I am from Eritrea too. Eritrea hasn't got official language.Tigrinya and Tigre are population wise widely spoken languages. That is why are Tigrinya and Tigre predominantly spoken languages in Eritrea. If you see all the news are in different Eritrean languages. Arabic is also an Eritrean languages. More practised by our Muslim brothers and sisters for the QUR'AN. English is a trade language in Eritrea. We Eritrean have great harmony with/towards our religious beliefs and ethical diversity. This is the legacy our ancestors left for the people of Eritrea. I hope we and the Millennium generations will sustain it and pass it from generation to generation to come.
