Hello Deluge: first impressions with the Synthstrom Deluge

There's a new all-in-one sequencer/synthesizer/sampler on the grass, and it's the Synthstrom Audible Deluge.

I've had the Elektron Digitakt in my setup for almost a year, but while I love the sound engine and used it as the main drum machine, I couldn't really get along with it as "the one box" I could take with me somewhere and work on music. the lack of a internal polyphonic sequencer and the limited number of voices made it really hard for me to use it by itself, and I'll admit that the Squarp Pyramid spoiled me as a full featured hardware sequencer.

Enter the Deluge. I love how the sequencer felt confortable right away, the sampling features are fantastic, and the built in synth engines seems flexible enough to be used as that magical "one box" while I'm out and about, and still be used as the Digitakt replacement in the studio.

I just finished recording this a few days before the Deluge 2.0 firmware update, so I won't go into any of these features. But definitely next time.

I've been ignoring this thing for a while but it just kept showing up. I think this video sold me. might just sell my OP-1 for one of these

Just ordered mine last night, each time I watch a new video, it confirms my suspicions about it's potential to work in so many different sonic directions - thanks for the insights!!!

I just purchased the mono circuit; I'll be using it with the drumbrute and the circuit... if I had seen this video before the purchase, I would've purchased it... thanks Olivier for the video...

saw the first min. of the video. great intro for this piece gear. I have one and it deserves this, specially after these 2.0 release, which too so much passion from the synthstrom guys.

Excellent video. I already covet the deluge and you're only making the craving worse. I like your annotations as well. Subscribed.

Great video! Thanks again... I was wondering what can be done on the deluge that can not be done with Pyramid (I understand deluge has synths, drums, etc as a sampler would and Pyramid is a sequencer) I have a deluge but can’t get my head around to figure it out how to sequence, control, apply effects to external devices (Roland boutique and effects pedal Zoia and H9) thanks again for the great work. Sorry for the long post ✌️

4:17 I wish I could copy a column -> You could zoom in and use cross screen ;) Cross screen is a life saver.

Now you will have to make one that shows the arranger if you would be so kind ;-)

This video answers EXACTLY what I’ve been asking for weeks. IDK how I never found your video until now. It pretty much settles it, deluge next for me. I wonder how I can make it play with my OP-Z :)

Awesome videos on the Deluge, I definitely subbed! What is the name or type of stand you have the Deluge "floating" on?

Smart to keep the aloe close...
...in case the track is too hot.

Fantastic video. I love my Deluge. What stand are you using in this video? I’d like to get one for jamming in my den.

I'm just curious as to how I can make my Deluge float above my lap like that.

Wonderful instrument...my only concern is if one or more leds fail...major problem as you are reliant upon them..
