What a lovely quilt and a great tutorial. I'm a little confused about the length of the strips, can you please tell me the cut length of the white strip as one lady says it's 18 inches and the other lady states it 18 /12 inches. Is the final cut of the strips 75 1/2 inches or 75 inches, as again one lady says one 75 and the other says 75 1/2? Perhaps I'm confused due to the 1/4 inch seam allowance?? Thanks.

I have a half pack of batik strips that I'd like to use for a wall hanging with this design. Would this work if I cut combined strips half the 75-1/2", and what about the length of the starting white strips? I'm thinking for my purposes, they might need to be shorter than 18"? I hope you can advise...Thanks!

I realize that they are using some pre-cut colored strips, but for those of us with yardage, how long are the colored strips?
