Rating countries I explored in 2024: Part ✌🏼
🗺️ 2024 Travels
🇭🇷 Croatia: Beautiful, clean waters. Relatively cheap and affordable (even during the Summer time). To cut costs, I recommend NOT staying in Dubrovnik. Zadar is beautiful and offers a plethora of day trips to Dubrovnik and other beautiful locations.
🇨🇿 Czech Republic: There is so much to see, do, and eat. Pragues city center is huge! The train, bus, and taxi system is affordable and relatively easy to navigate.
🇮🇹 Italy: Italy is also relatively affordable depending on where you stay. Italy is amazing even during the off season. I went to Sicily in February and the weather was perfect for exploring. We rented a car for the weekend that only ran us €70 through RyanAir. 🔥
🇪🇸 Spain: Spain has some of the best food I’ve ever had in Europe! Spain is a bit more costly (both food/hotel/activities), but there are plenty of “free activities” that you can do as well. I highly recommend booking a dinner with one of the many restaurants that offer a “Flamenco” show. Watching the traditional dance was a highlight of my trip. 💃
🇪🇪 Estonia: Estonias architecture compared to the rest of Europe is quite unique and beautiful. Estonia surprisingly is a huge melting pot (food wise). Estonia has amazing Mexican and Southern food… yes, you read what I said! 🌮 The folks in Estonia are extremely warm and welcoming as well. I was pleasantly surprised with the country. There are many “affordable” activities to do. This is another country with a great taxi system that is safe and affordable.
🇮🇪 Ireland: Ireland is quite expensive. The food and pub scene is mediocre due to how busy they are. The Cliffs of Moher are absolutely stunning and worth the day trip that will run you roughly €100 (food/drink not included). Ireland ranks a bit “low” for me because it feels like home! 🫣 🇺🇸
🇭🇺 Hungary: Another country that pleasantly surprised me. Budapest has so much to see/do/ and eat. I was able to snag a hotel relatively close to the city center for super cheap. The city has an amazing taxi system that allows you to get from place to place for as low as €2!
