Ganondorf got past Mido using the most forbidden technique: *Cartridge Tilting.*

In the end, Ganondorf had to use the cartridge tilting trick to get past Mido. Also, we get to see Radiers of the lost Ganondorf as he tries to run away from the boulder, Indiana Jones style.

This is the start of the timeline where Navi died on impact with the fence in the cutscene. Link never left the forest and never became the hero. So Ganondorf has to do it all by himself.
