Patrice Tipoki spectacularly returned to the role of Elphaba in Wicked after more than 14 years. Patrice was asked to perform in Perth, Australia as an emergency cover, donning the green makeup again for the first time since 2010. These highlights are from her first show back on the evening of December 15, 2024. Prior to the commencement of the performance, Patrice was announced as a "Guest Artist".

I know myself and everyone else who’s been deep in the Elphaba recordings from the beginning gasped when that opt up happened. It was legendary 14 years ago and I never thought I’d hear it again

It’s been nearly fifteen years since she last played Elphaba and yet she sounds likes she’s just picked up where she left off! I really hope she gets to do a few shows! She sounds INCREDIBLE

she hesitated a bit to do her opt up, but then was like "f-ck it" and just went and did it

I mean, at least that's what it seems like to me, she seems unsure... But then again, this was AMAZING!

this audio could pass for one of her original run, her voice is still just as strong!
