As a father, you find out what kind of job you’ve done raising your son when he starts his own shop. It was tough to watch him load up all his stuff, but in the end I truly believe it’s for the best.

I’m sure it’s hard to see Billy branching out in his own, just know that you gave him a strong moral foundation and have instilled in him a very hard work ethic. All you can do now is continue to support him and pray that he can avoid any more “ gaps” (lol) in the road. Prayers for Allison and all the rest at SRC Garage..;

Vicki, I am Mike from Rhode Island and met you at National Trail during the no prep event. I told everyone standing around your merch tent that you were the true hero behind the scenes of the SRC channel. I say that because you and my wife are so much alike, keeping the family machine running. Your Christmas cookie gifts for all the local folks are another similarity. My wife bakes hundreds of dozens of cookies and gives them out to the local business we have accounts at, as well as just about every neighbor on our street. The auto parts stores and repair shops start asking for the cookies by mid November to make sure this year's batch is coming. I admire and understand all that you do and go through as a wife/mother of a self employed racing family. I always enjoy your contribution to the SRC channels.

Bill, Vicki, its hard to see your kids leave the nest but at the same time its a great sign youve raised a man, cant remember how many times I moved out and came back .Eventually i was out for good, and somehow ended up an aircraft mechanic like my dad lol.I believe that little vacation he took and all the years of you teaching both boys lifes lessons along with automotive influence has been a great motivator for Billy to continue to progress in the automotive/race field. Not excluding Tommy as he will grow and mature and we will see him fly the coup one day but for Billy to take up fabricating etc he will be sought after by a new generation of racers and go quick street folks.Proud pappa for sure.

Gotta say, I enjoy what your boys are doing but to be truthful, being of a similar age in life Bill, I'm kinda more keen to watch you get back into it with the Nova. Plus you and Vicky are a hoot. Love the dynamic between you two. You guys are great. =)

I will say this first.... I love the idea of an aluminum twin turbo LS powered nova. Reliable power that can compete.
I had tears when billy was moving. I always invisioned a new shop being built at your place. I love the family content. Yall are the first family of racing in America today. Man that sucked. But I am and will continue to watch you both. I really hope billy comes back home. I hope you get some merch now. Shirts, hats, coffee mugs, etc etc.
Good luck Bill. Get that Nova ready. I think you need to run regular small tire no prep. That nova still got it in

Thanks for continuing to make videos. My wife and I watch every new video when you post them. She is not into cars at all but really enjoys watching your channel and your daily shenanigans!

Just my two cents:

The fact that your Son is passionate about HIS own shop, getting HIs OWN Start, And Making HIS own way should tell you that you have done an excellent job. Most Kids are fighting to STAY in their parents home, Billy is fighting to get his own Start, His own Shop and HIs Own Race Program. Job Well Done, Bill.

Its good to see Billy taking the reigns and branch out but as a long time viewer i hope you guys do get back together. I mentioned it in his video and ill mention it in yours. I think what makes you guys stand out from many other channels is the family atmosphere. Things are never perfect but having the family enjoy this amazing sport together is truly special. I'm also looking forward to seeing you back in action behind the wheel of the nova.

Vicki, you don’t need to mail the recipe to anyone. All Red Eye Patriot needs to do is pause the video when your holding the recipe up and do a screen shot of it and Wallah!! He’s instantly got the recipe just like I did! He can then print it off if he wants or do like I do and just keep thousands of recipes on his phone like I do so I’ve always got the recipes with me if I stop by the grocery and need an ingredient list, it really works nice. Thank you for sharing Vicki!

This is what happens to us old guys. Suddenly after a lifetime of being needed, we're made redundant. Then we're stuck trying to figure out what to do with ourselves. We look around and realize most of our friends have moved on to other things. Pretty lonely deal. Best of luck to the kids. I hope it all works out for them.

You and I are close to the same age Bill. My Dad passed away 6 years ago & I still miss him terribly. My boys (4yrs old & 18 months) never had the chance to meet him. This video made me think of the how I might feel when my sons move on. Enjoy them while you can Bill. Allow them to enjoy you. Focus on he good.

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas

I look at my son and everything he has done on his own and watching him being a father raising kids and i poke my chest out a little more. plus they learn why you are the way you are and they learn more respect of why you road their ass at times . Merry Christmas to yall

Short leash.... Big Chief, seems to see what I see. Billy is heading to prime time. ( fitting name for the nova Billy), looking forward to seeing what next year brings. Bill, enjoy what's about to happen & it's going to be great watching you leading the pack with your nova. Justin, thanks for pulling some strings, Billy's a winner.God Bless the SRC family.

As a father of the age 51 with two boys 29 an 27 I know exactly what it’s like to watch them grow, learn an branch out to become men from boys .. venture out an to
be on there own jus like we did as young men, as father you got to accept it let go an believe in them an support them jus the same if not a little more, if you don’t you will learn to regret it by one way or another .. an look at it this way .. you get your shop back 😁😁👍lol .. I think billy will feel better about himself in his own shop an be proud of himself as we know that when we first got our very own place an shop it’s the greatest feeling ever ..that being said embrace it go with it an be just as happy as he is .. as we all go thru this journey we call life … on that note good luck, stay safe an godbless .. 👍

Congratulations Bill, you’ve raised some good sons. You raise ‘em to be independent, think for themselves and have a solid moral compass. Billy’s moving out is a sign of all those things. It’s not that he doesn’t want to be at your place; he wants his own place, tools, set-up, etc. Congrats to both of you.
