So first they banned CFC inhalers which actually worked and had cheap generics available. They replaced them with environmentally friendly inhalers which had a different container which meant no generic and they turned out to be less effective. Now the patent on that device runs out and we have generics again and suddenly these inhalers are no longer environmentally friendly. I’m starting to see a pattern here.

when will people stop shaming those with disabilities who need to use things? first plastic straws, now inhalers? just say you hate disabled people and move on

As an asthmatic, we have other options but companies refuse to let generics happen and the preventative medicines we very much desperately NEED are $120+ WITH insurance. We as asthmatics do not give a shit how we get our medicine but as of right now the "world killing" inhalers are VASTLY cheaper. $10 with insurance over the powder based ones for me? It's a no brainer.

Hey I have severe asthma i need my albuterol inhaler to help me breathe, & a few years ago albuterol inhalers were fixed so they don't produce cfcs any more.. Now is like you spend a day breathing through a very narrow straw.
