MHS Parent/Sponsor Shows Gratitude, Support, and Sacrifice—Milton Hershey School

In the Milton Hershey School community, sacrifice, commitment, and gratitude are common attributes. One parent/sponsor, who serves in the United States Army, gave Middle Division houseparents Weston and Elizabeth Parrett a flag flown in their honor in Afghanistan as a way of thanking them for taking care of his daughter, Audrey. This red, white, and blue symbol of gratitude now hangs on the dining room wall of the student home. It reminds the houseparents and students every day that they can do hard things because of the example set by Audrey's father and others who serve or have served our nation.
