Drawing animals is a more relaxing than drawing a portrait. Even if you are off from the reference, it will still look like an animal. Once of the most important thing about drawing animals is to be able to recognize and shade in their muscular. It's great practice for shading.

I seem to lose my way after a while on exact proportions, as in leg length. I use grids and do okay...with more practice, will an artist get better at accuracy without using artificial devices? I admire your sketches very much. Thank you for the lessons.

Another Great job Bro! Well done. Question.. On the ear.. the flap on top is a bit off from the photo.. it looks longer and more elongated in the reference. I'm not criticizing your work in the least.. It's not a bad thing.. but I would go anal about that in my drawings. What I would like to know is.. How do I get past that? So I'm not so consumed with perfection on every little detail.
