7 Days To Die FPS Boost & Fix

One of the main problems with 7 Days To Die is that it's still in the Alpha stage and is highly unoptimised. Therefore a lot of people are having massive FPS drops. In this video, I show you some unique tips and tricks to up your FPS in-game. I do this in the Wasteland, where FPS is at its lowest.

The REAL problem is during zombie fights. I"m staring at 15 zombies climbing a ladder up the far side of my base and it's a slide show. Things are teleporting. Meanwhile the game is reporting 70fps.

I have an RTX 4060 and on lowest graphics I get 40 FPS on horde night and in cities. This is an issue with the game, not the hardware. Been in alpha for over a decade and they still haven't fixed the very poor optimization.

R9 7900X + rtx 4090 with 1440p ultra setting rocking 50 to 65 fps in bigger cities 😃 i wish they would change engine at some point to some better but it is alpha still so lets see in 10 years 😂

Helped me out a lot went from around 40-50fps but would drop it like 10 when opening things. Now get a constant 75 and will drop maybe to 45ish the lowest the game plays perfect now. Thank you!!

Him: using 50 fov makes your game boosted

Also him: uses 85 fov and gets 40 fps instead of 31 fps on 50 fov

The problem is just the game is horribly optimized. I7 10700k and a 3080ti gets as low as 22fps at some intense points with unplayable stutter but the usages never go high so it’s not my hardware

So im playing this as im playing 7dtd, i drive into a hole, get in and out of my truck, and as i get out of it again, I get flung 80m in the air, and ragdoll. I didn't know you could ragdoll your own player wtf

Ha you got your 1k right quick, congrats. Thanks for the vid. I am guessing they made massive performance improvements since this videos publication date as I have a 1650 and was running 7DTD on it with an i5 on higher settings than what you ended the video with @ about 65fps @ 1080p

I've only had the game 3-4 days and Salty casual PVE server already been so kind to me everyone there real nice. 3rd day in already almost level 50 with 1, 000 kills lol

For me, the problem is the huge freeze and fps drops, i try all the commends, and game at the lowest quality (config i5 5700, gtx 1050ti, 12gb ram)

Hi there! Can you do a tutorial to increase FPS during Blood Moon nights? Because this is the most frustrating moments for me in this game.. its drops down to 10 to 15 fps when on blood moon but the game runs stable 60 all the time except for blood moons only. Any advice on this one?
