Adventures of an old Seadog, 'Refitting the boat' epi29

After a hard winter the spring arrives and with it more things to get done on the boat. A bit of welding for the new solar panel frame, fixing the depth sounder and a problem with the steering. I also take time out to track down a bit of family history.

Brilliant channel Barry.  None of the click-bait bikini clad women, just real life on a live-aboard.  Love it and just subscribed.

Finally, my friend Barry, cuts another update!

Good finds, them all. We do the same with the small sails around our marina. Looking forward to your next sail!

The Davis light you will use as an anchor light will allow water in despite the O ring. Good luck sealing it. I have had at least 4.

Just found your vids, & subscribed. This one was especially neat to see part of your life, generations past and ponderance of times past for them. Shows your character, we'll done. Now, only 110 more to go... to be quite honest, I have watched some through seeing you on other channels(in the Pacific.)

I shouldn't tell this so as to not spoil the surprise, but in about 5 years you'll be doing another major refit in New Zealand.

I think the green one is the Flag of Devon and the black one is Saint Piran's Flag.

The green represents the colour of the rolling and lush Devon hills, the black represents the high and windswept moors (Dartmoor and Exmoor) and the white represents both the salt spray of Devon's two coastlines and the China Clay industry (and mining in general). and the other flag could be from Scotland ?

Green flag = Devon and the black is Cornwall.
