As someone who has been in the transcription business for 36 years, I can tell you that the pay you noted on Rev for transcribing is crap. Unless you are making a minimum of $1 an audio minute, it isn't worth it. It takes an average of 1 hour to type 15 minutes of audio recording. Some, depending on the recording and transcriptionist, can take longer or shorter, but the average is 1 hour per 15 minutes. So, if you are making $1 a minute, that is at least $15 an hour. A 15 minute recording at 30 cents per minute would equal $4.50 an hour. I wouldn't do it for less than $1 a minute under any circumstances.

Helpful. I dash fulltime while I work on setting up my own business, but sometimes the market dies in my area (2-4 pm), where I’m just getting 2 dollar shop and delivers at Dollar General. I’d definitely just take the 8/hr just to spare the maintaince on my car.

I tried Rev at the start of the pandemic and once earlier this year and it was absolutely terrible. I made probably $0.45 a day? I'm not sure if it was user error or skill issue but it was terrible

MTurk makes you pay to use their site and then the job sites they send you to make you pay. Not exactly what my broke a$$ needs. You could have stated that in your video and saved me a lot of time and $. I haven't tried the others you mentioned because once burned twice shy.
