The double Burr saying "You have him turn around so he can have deniability" is cold as hell. I love it

Ability and civility hit me hard, it just works so well.

Amazing how the two songs rhyme in some parts.
Although I think it might sound better without the repetition of "It's the ten duel Commandments" in the beginning, but it also works this way.
Despite that it's the best version I found so far, bc you play them both at the same time and on both ears, not one left, one right, or not at the same time

It's the ten duel commandments

*There are ten things you need
to.*

It's the ten duel commandments

*KNOW!*

**Number 1:**

The challenge, demand satisfaction, if they apologize no need for further action

*We rowed across the Hudson at dawn, my friend William P. Vannes signed on as my-*

**Number 2:**

If they don't, grab a friend, that's your second. Your lieutenant when there's reckoning to be reckoned.

*Hamilton arrived with his crew: Nathaniel Pendelton and a doctor that he knew.*

**Number 3:**

Have your seconds meet face-to-face, negotiate a peace or negotiate a time and place. This is common place 'specially 'tween recruits

*I watched Hamilton examine the terrain, I wish i could tell you what was happening in his brain, this man has poisoned my political pursuits*

**Most disputes die and no one shoots!**

**Number 4:**

If they don't reach a peace, that's alright, time to get some pistols and a doctor on site. You pay him in advance, you treat him with civility, you have him turn around so he can have deniability

*Hamilton drew first position, looking to the world like a man on a mission. This is a soldier with a marksman's ability. The doctor turned around so he can have deniability.*

**5:**

Duel before the sun is in the sky, pick a place to die where it's high and dry.

*Now i didn't know this at the time but we were in the same spot my / your son died, is that why?*

Number **6:**

Leave a note for your next of kin, tell him where you've been, pray that hell or heaven lets you in.

*He examined his gun with such rigor. I watched as he methodically fiddled with the trigger*

**7:**

Confess your sins, ready for the moment of adrenaline when you finally face your opponent.

*Confession time? Here's what i got: My fellow soldiers will tell you I'm a terrible shot.*

**Number 8:**

**Your last chance to negotiate, send in your seconds see if they can set the record straight**

Alexander? Aaron Burr, sir! Can we agree that duels are dumb and immature? Sure! But your man has to answer for his words, Burr. With his life? We both know that's absurd, sir. Hang on, how many men died because Lee was inexperienced and ruinous? Okay, so we're doing this.

*They won't teach you this in your classes but look it up, Hamilton was wearing his glasses. Why? If not to take deadly aim!? It's him or me the world will never be the same! I had only one thought before the slaughter, this man will not make an orphan of my daughter!*

**Number 9:**

**Look 'em in the eye, aim no higher, summon all the courage you require then count**

**Number 10: paces, fire!**
