I had my RG40XX H delivered yesterday and I think it's fantastic.

No compelling reason to upgrade from RG35xxH but a better choice for someone who doesn't have one. I really wish they would bump the processor up because this looks cool. The incremental buying model > they have us on a hamster wheel.

I guess it would be a great device to play Ace Combat 3 and other games that constantly need to use the L2 and R2 buttons. Also, might be a good call for compact Portmaster gaming

I'm considering the rg40xx h, simply because the shoulder buttons are better. I've heard in another review you can disable the LED lights to save battery life.
