January 2118. Chief Inspector of the Criminal Investigation Department, Akane Tsunemori, receives a report of an incident on a foreign vessel – the body of Professor Milicia Stronskaya has been discovered. Behind the incident is a group known as the Peacebreakers, a foreign paramilitary organisation and a new outside threat who are targeting the professor’s research papers known as the “Stronskaya Document”.

Reunited with Shinya Kogami, a former fugitive from the Criminal Investigation Department, Akane grapples with a case that quickly escalates beyond their expectations. The Stronskaya Papers could reveal a truth that would shake Japan's government, and even the Sibyl System, to the core.

It is in this untold story that the missing link is revealed.

PSYCHO-PASS franchise: The franchise revolves around The Sibyl System, an authoritarian system that quantifies the human personality. Sibyl’s analysis dictates every aspect of the citizens' future. In exchange for Sibyl’s rule, the citizens enjoy a peaceful life.

With all manner of mental states and trends being recorded and monitored, the standard by which an individual's soul is measured is a number that people have come to call the PSYCHO-PASS.

Detectives, wielding guns called Dominators that measure criminal potential, work closely with enforcers who hunt down latent criminals before they can break the law.

The young inspector Akane Tsunemori, a part of the Criminal Investigation Department, and her partner, enforcer Shinya Kogami, wrestle with the question of how a fair and perfect society can be upheld and maintained by a system that could possibly be corrupt.

PSYCHO-PASS was an original anime project for television that began in 2012. Now, after ten years, comes the newest film that will act as the connective tissue between the movie PSYCHO-PASS Sinners of the System Case 3: On the Other Side of Love and Hate and season 3 of the PSYCHO-PASS TV series. The entire story will now finally be told.

Just came back from the movie. What a great show! It has nice action scenes. All the characters we loved from TV shows are here. To my surprise the movie again brings another interesting aspect to the Sibyl system.

I am not gonna spoil anything here. But I'd give some advice before watching this movie.

First, you absolutely need to watch Psycho Pass Season 1 and 2.
You need to know what Sibyl system is and what do those Eliminators do. Also there is a scene in this movie that's a total spoiler for end of Season 2.

You have to watch PP the movie, it is the last time Akane interacted with Kogami. It gives more insight to their relationship.

2nd. Strongly recommand watching Sinners of System Ep 2 First Guardian. There is a certain person or device that get you so excited if you watched it.

You can skip SS ep 1: Crime and Punishment if you want. It is set before movie but much less relevent.

SS ep 3 is optional. But it is good since you get to see a little side story with Kogami and the blondie.

And the movie answered a big question that many had from Season 3, or so I heard. I haven't watch Season 3 myself. But This movie is totally meant to be a connection between S2 and S3.

I personally wanted to support this series and so I paid ticket to see. I dont necessary recommand watching it in the theater. But all PP fans have to watch this movie at some point.

After watching this movie i can clearly say ITS PSYCHO PASS: SEXUAL FRUSTRATION BETWEEN KOUGAMI AND AKANE FOR 2 HRS

While I'm still a fan of Psycho Pass, I believe the unique take of the series ended with Makishima. He was no doubt the best villain ever. His philosophy, his take on importance of physical books, his raw way of seeing things made Psycho Pass what it was. Obviously, season 1 original team was something else. S2 wasn't reaching the hype of S1. What I loved about Kogami was his underlying bond and connection to Makishima.

OMG I need to see this version. Just saw the dubbed version a few days ago & the dub is horrible. Wooden, sounded like they are just reading the script & don't care. It was my only complaint. Seeing this trailer I fucking missed out. This can potentially be a perfect Anime.

after watching this movie i thought that Makshima was right all along Sybil is a brain wash piece of shit that isn't right (i think the movie has many wasted potential and could be longer with the character development and the character death wasn't feel justified, there are many unecessary scene like that plane fight, it felt really dragged and was too long and there are a lot more explanation and narative than showing (i think the anime fell off since Season 3, there are more and more lazy writing, s1 is better because it shows what it need to shows instead off sneaking the explanaition through narative/ character explaining things)
