India: Why animal-human conflict is on the rise in Kashmir?

Attacks by wild animals are on the rise in Indian-administered Kashmir.
Three children were mauled this month and four others were attacked by a bear on Friday.
Experts say human activity is taking over more and more of the animals' natural habitats, and it will be hard to put an end to the attacks.

Al Jazeera’s Pavni Mittal reports from New Delhi, India.

*It’s not just a problem in India.*
Just 100 years ago, there were more than 200, 000 wild lions living in Africa. *Today, there are only about 20, 000;* lions are extinct in 26 African countries and have vanished from over 95 percent of their historic range. And their habitats continue to decrease as the human population increases. As the human population grows, more and more land is cleared for agriculture and urbanization so there is less space for lions to thrive in. ~
~
Also Due to human encroachment of their habitats, the Florida panther 🐆 which once roamed throughout the southeastern United States have vanished from over 95 percent of their historic range. *The historic range of the Florida panther extended from Florida to Louisiana throughout Texas and the other Gulf Coast states and Arkansas.* Now the only place with Florida panthers still left is the southwestern tip of Florida. Today there are only around 220 to 230 Florida panthers left in the wild. Making it the *most endangered cat in North America* and *one of the most endangered animals in the world.* Even at their best estimates, 230 panthers are not a sustainable population size. And as the human population continues to grow, the tiny amount of habitat these animals have left continue to shrink

I mean like in India People Homes in villages are near Woods generally! There are national parks where you would find small human settlements.
So, it's a very common thing.

What else would you expect from wild animals when you go near them and encroach on the forest?
And it is not only about Kashmir but every forest state of India where wild animals live.
