Congratulations on the 10k and to those featured in this year's Godot show reel. Well deserved! Looking forward to seeing the new updates for those using Dialogic 2. Thanks for checking out Somnipathy everyone. Lots of fun to be had by all of us Godot devs.

Had no idea you were so close with the Godot devs, but that's awesome. Before 4.0 came out I was honestly
going to use Dialogic because from a time perspective, it beats making my own system. But even though
I'm liking Dialogue Manager and it seems to fit my projects scale, I still miss Dialogic. It was so strange
not seeing it in the AssetLib till I thought a bit and found this, hope you and everyone have been doing well

Emi, great work, Congratulation!!!
Only a question:
Why can't I export dialogs to Android? 😢

The biggest issue I have with dialogic. Is the tutorials are slightly limited. I would prefer to use dialogic, because it helps me to keep track of everything. Which is difficult when doing regular code.

The problem is I have not found any tutorials that explain how to do what i want, which are the following:

1. setting appropriate variables.

I found how to do the values which in a sense is a number variable. But I have nothing to explain how to do boolean variables (true and false) which I use constantly. Because I am making my game to have alternative endings.

2) Converting a variable from one to argument to another.

Eg: Let's say your defaultName is Mike. But the player uses a different name.

I want to be able to set up an if statement where if the defaultName == True you get the response to be such and such.

But if it is the defaultName == False you get a different response.

3) ensuring the player can use choose to use the default dialogic character name, or customize it accordingly.

And set up a limited number of letters, allow comas but do not allow any numbers, etc...

Like I said, I would like to use dialogic. But I need help to figure out these issues and I haven't found anything that can show me how to do it.

I just found this addon and if it hasn't been said else where this is like a Ren'py killer. This is an amazing bit of software and VN people have to see this.

I like dialogic since it simplifies the dialogue along with variables and if statements. But my only issue is being able to customize the player's name. I've tried a number of ways to do it but have been unable to.

My friend, I cannot get AnimatedSprites to work in Dialogic Portraits no matter what I try. Can you provide tutorial in the documentation for that please?
