Thinking of picking this up and taking out the yellow and blue and nose and tail sections. Switching out some parts to make a grey L train.

Definitely get rid of the unpowered motor in the rear locomotive and replace it with normal train axles. That motor puts just unnecessary stress on the motor that‘s actually running.

Looks awesome with 2 sets together. Watched the live build last night and good to see the crashed train didn’t get damaged.

Love this train! This is also my favorite set of all time!🚄🔥🔥

The real reason the train was struggling was the motor on the rear engine. When it is not on, the wheels are hard to turn. So I’d make custom wheels for the back engine

So honestly, hilarious, seeing someone surprised and impressed by a Lego hotdog which has existed for so long

one thing you could do is link the motor wire in the front carriage to A, and the motor wire in the back carriage to B, then run the A at full forward power then the B at full reverse power on the remote, then it'll really zoom around

Personally if I had a city I wouldn’t have that elevated rail. However it does add a unique aspect to the city and is totally made up for by the fact that you have 3 trains running at once!

I would actually reverse direction of the passenger trains, allows the new passenger train to gain speed over the incline before rounding the curve. Considering just how expensive the PF is now alone, just getting this train alone makes the cost worth it.

I think I will get two as well and connect them together. Love your Lego City Bricksie. How do you manage the dust?

Jordan great video and great train. I’ve got the same set up. I remove the second motor and battery box completely from the second engine and put a dummy set of wheels under it. If you do that then you can put the powered up version two on your Disney train and work it by the app if you want to. You’ll also get rid of the friction that is causing on the incline.

Try running the opposite way.1 motor pulling through the s curve then upgrade will kill your power.just an idea.love the city.

Use the back motor on your 60197 with the remote to go backwards on the second locomotive and the app for the front locomotive.

I just like the new passenger train because the blue, yellow and white reminds me of our VIA rail passenger trains. I never cared for that white one that you have going on the top tracks, just because I never felt that was a Canadian style passenger train. But I bought the blue/yellow one for my city to finally have a passenger train and with it looking like VIA rail it helped huge!

Nice review Bricksie. 60198 definitely has its advantages over 60052. However, I will say, there are enough pieces in 60052 from the two ends to make another middle carriage (though not perfectly to instructions, it looks identical). However, because there aren’t separate engine carriages, over 5 long in 6 wide like that starts to look unrealistically stretched.
