mimic tear just dies immediately in this fight anyway. If you spawn it at the start, both of them go for it and do like 8 attacks each because mimic doesn't run.

Thankful for this video. I hated FromSoft Souls type games for 10 years and with all the hype around Elden Ring, I decided I wanted to play it but only after I felt I'd truly earned it. Which for me meant beating Demons Souls, Dark Souls I, II, III, Bloodborne, and Sekiro using no summons or cheesy bullshit. I did it all in 2022 with the exception of Lud and Zallen in DS2 (maybe later) but I've finally made it to Elden Ring, and close to the end. Currently stuck on these guys and there's so many videos out there recommending ashes for this fight and many others, it's great to see a guide from somebody who played the game how I am

Thanks for this, have been looking for a way to do this without pure cheese and I hadn't considered not letting the fat one get into second phase.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to avoid that roll. Sometimes he'll get caught on the pillar and sometimes he'll just roll right over it lol

I found this fight a lot easier if a summon can keep them together, then AOE/cleave spam Rivers of blood on the 2 stacked bosses for double damage.

For anyone having a hard time I found it easier to get the noble down to just above half so he doesn’t start rolling and then kill the apostle who has an easier second phase after that the nobles already near half health and u can hide behind a pillar while rolls

im right now doing this boss.. there s a summon outside the mist before you enter.. recusant bernahl... kinda helpful to aid in the fight aside of the mimic tear..

On my second playthrough rn with no summons, and most of my deaths on this fight are coming from the Noble's jank roll attack. Never considered just not getting him to his second phase. Definitely gonna try this strategy

I'm one of those people progress blocked by this, this fight is just plain unfair even over leveled this fight is just ridiculous for me, so far way harder than the death rite birds or mohg or the gire Giant those I got past after a few hours this I've been stuck on for

I hate how them being alive doesnt reflect the health bar that was annoying design choice but overall wasn't bad
