This demo is purely amazing, thanks for sharing. I have the same demo running on my low end linux box (raspberry pi) and its stunning how well the demo was programmed that it runs fluently on such a small device.

Also once I had an issue running X on my main PC, which I used to watch TV via a TV card. So I just booted into a framebuffer console and ran fbtv which used AA to render the TV picture (in B&W text) to the console. From a distance it was ok and allowed me to watch TV after school, till I sorted out the graphics card

I used to use the BB demo to test a laptop's performance. I would set the rows and cols crazily high to see how well it would draw the text under X-windows :D

i installed it on debian and ubuntu and mint with the apt install bb command, it is getting installed but it wont work or without sound or it stucks at the beginning. the last time i got that perfectly working was on suse linux 9.2 in 2006 :-D
