Smart science: Antarctic ice shelf disapearing

According to a new NASA study, the last remaining section of Antarctica’s Larsen B Ice Shelf is rapidly disintegrating and expected to disappear in the next 5 years. Our Johanna Wagstaffe explains how the consequences could have a run-away effect on sea-level rise as these ice shelves act as a barrier to keep glaciers from melting into the ocean.
