Sgt. Rock Bumper Fabrication & Military Tribute - Stacey David's Gearz S8 E9

So you think you want some custom bumpers for your big ol’ truck? Well Stacey shows you how to not only find what you’re looking for in the aftermarket, but also how to fabricate and build your own custom mounts to make ‘em sit exactly where you want them. After that he digs into the history of the Sgt. Rock truck and how it is permanently connected to “the greatest generation”. But this truck isn’t just about WWII, as a special tailgate airbrushed by Mickey Harris reveals, it’s about all the men and women that have sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today. This is one show that will have you waving the flag when you see it!

Stacey's an awesome guy. Been watching his shows since the days of trucks on TNN. Glad to see full episodes here since I no longer have cable. Well done.

The tailgate art by Mickey is just simply breathtaking. The detail of the detail is simply amazing.

Another good show from Stacey, I don't care for the look of that bumper I would have preffered something that matched the rest of the body lines instead of a highly angular modern bumper rock crawler style bumper. None of the other body lines on the truck match it. I still love this truck though and would easily look past the bumper if somehow I was getting that truck :D

Congratulations on some awesome fabrication work on the frame and support/mounting brackets for your front bumper. Depending upon your rigging, you could probably suspend the entire truck vertically in mid air without fear now. I wouldn't try it with a single line pull though unless that's a 20, 000# winch, which it isn't. Having said that I would like to take a moment to say, as a 21 year combat Veteran how much I appreciate the honor you have bestowed on all of us for what we do daily in defense of our freedoms and this great nation of ours. I especially love the newly created mural. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. One question though, after you eventually finish one of your projects, do you ever sell any of them or do you have this massive collection hidden away in some underground hermetically sealed vault?

WWII Veterans are mostly gone or very lucky to be alive because they are probably about 100 years old now

I have been starting a project but I do not have the money to finish it expressly the way I want it it's a 1923 T Bucket but what I really wanted was a 1934 3 Window Coupe but those are just way too high especially with little bit of money that I have me and my wife and 2 kids leaving a RV

Using a grinder on a freshly painted truck without masking off the paint work, that is sort of a gamble, those sparks can burn themselves into the paint, I am speaking out of experience.

That bumper looks horribly out of place on that truck. And you cut the frame to put it on there too. That is unfortunate.
