An Encounter with a Singaporean Crypto Scammer on Hinge Dating app | Pig Butchering Scam

Just to clarify, I can confirm I spoke to this woman a couple of times via a whatsapp call and once via whatsapp video call for 10 - 15 mins. She was the same person in the photos, which I mentioned in the video. I would never post someones photos on social media and label them a scammer if I was not 100% they were responsible for the scam.

Had I planned on making a video I would have screen recorded as evidence, but at the point I was not certain she was a scammer and had no intention of making a video as I'm not a youtuber, just a regular person trying to raise awareness so others don't fall for these type of scams. Many people assume a scammer is always a catfish, which is usually true, but not always especially with 'romance' or 'pig butchering' scammers. They are capable of talking to you for months to build trust, different from the typical scammer.

The main point I hope people take is that just because someone is genuinely the person they say they are in their pictures, that does not mean they are genuine in their intentions and are not a scammer.

Ive just had this same situation with a girl from Singapore, she said she's living in Manchester 😅 same story, but never did any investment, it allways looked suspicious why im being pressured to make those investments and to register on a fake scam website, be careful people 🙂

Same experience for me. I video chatted also. Different person in the pictures and video chat than your video, and different trading platform, but the scenario was the same. Her uncle knows how to invest. The profits are huge.

This EXACT situation i just found myself in; red flags, thought well let’s see when the scam starts .. touristy pics, video call for 10 min; talks a lot about investing back and forth for a week; but we didn’t meet on dating app, she messaged me on one of my music profiles asking about music. She never asked for money or sent any links before I ended it though

Currently going through the same thing. Was messaged by a singaporean girl wrong number thing. Gave me her other number after a short conversation. Started talking, been in contact for 2 months, pretends like she cares for you, asking you things like if you had eaten before work, making you develop feelings for her. Occasionally mentions that she's got investment side hustle, and just recently convinced me to invest to crypto. Uploaded some funds to a trading platform and then she sent me some link from her trading place, i registered there but before i transferred any crypto to her place, i found out that its a scam site. It's mind boggling that she had to waste over 2 months with me. While she didn't got my money, she managed to steal my heart. Now I'm left wondering who is the girl in the pictures she was sending me. And yeah, she also had the uncle thing, like everybody here.
