Etsy should be able to refund it! They lied about the listing. Ive gotten a refund for FAR LESS because of a false listing. A money grab if you will! Thats absolutely not okay to sell you literally junk for that much money! I hope they do the right thing! Let us know!

File a case with Etsy that the purchased item was actually drop-shipped items. Etsy is only supposed to be hand-made items but they’ve had a huge problem with drop-shippers lately.

As a jeweler and goldsmith this gave me a good chuckle. I can in fact tell you that the gemstones in the white containers were not glass. You had an array of garnet, peridot, amethyst in the one container, among other things. The one you thought was an aquamarine was in fact a blue topaz. All were cheap semi-precious stones worth next to nothing, but not colored glass! Even $300 would’ve been a rip off for everything you got unfortunately.

I really feel like a lot of people could make some big life changes with $4, 300. My etsy shop is full of handmade items that I make myself and a $4300 sale would be quite that sale for an actual real handmade shop! It makes me really mad that etsy hasn't put a stop to this drop-shipped garbage. That is not ok!

I stand by what I said, if I was spending 4k on Etsy I’d be pretty mad if everything I recieved wasn’t what was advertised but instead turned out to be drop shipped garbage. I’d rather spend that kinda money on quality and shops that are more deserving than these scammy shops. ☕️

I used to work at a pawn shop, and learned a few things about testing jewelry, so here are a few tips based off things you did or did not do in the video: 18K acid is much easier to read for testing silver than the silver acid because the 18K will turn the mark baby blue/sky blue if it is silver. Also, although it has a chance to leave a mark on the jewelry piece, you should really be rubbing a piece of jewelry which is questionable on the stone slate at least 3 times in case of heavy plating. My last tip is that if you manage to get a mark from metal other than gold, silver, or copper (mainly steel, which is hard to do) it will NOT react to acid.
