I'm in Canada and our schools don't have free lunch. You send your child with their recess and lunch or order from the cafeteria. Us parents also donate food to the schools for breakfast programs for children who don't get breakfast before school

Yep, I had a friend that became a single father to twin daughters them. Kids have everything when he was a kid. He didn’t have food at home so he ate at school. It’s kind of important.
