Fedor Gorst vs Alex Pagulayan from the final day of the 2022 International Open One Pocket Championship.

Alex “The Lion” Pagulayan is thought of as one of the top 3 One Pocket players in the world, while Fedor Gorst is one of the strongest all around players in the world today. Gorst has been learning One Pocket at a fast pace, but Pagulayan knows the game better than almost anyone.

Jeremy Jones and John Schmidt called all of the action.

One pocket saved me when no one would hire me for a min in NYC I had quit for 14 years but was able to pick it up fast with the help of some amazing players at Stienway billiards I wasn’t the same player I was back then but I kept my belly full and didn’t have to worry about where I was going to sleep.

When Jeremy Jones was talking about great players from the past, I am a little disappointed that he didn't mention a friend of mine. During the 80s and 90s Steve Cook was easily one of the top one pocket players in the country. He beat Allen Hopkins in his prime on several occasions! He won some major one pocket tournaments. It is a shame that there weren't more one pocket events back then!

Definitely Shannon Daulton, Big Bird, Cliff, Cooney, Nick (the wedge, sheeesh), of course JJ, , , , people don't realize how good Buddy was at One-Pocket....

JJ world class commentary as usual. Schmidt would improve leaps and bounds if he stopped talking over whomever he's commentating with. "Mmhmm" "ah hah" "that's right" "yup" while JJ is talking is just terrible.

I CANNOT believe how BADLY Alex missed the 2nd to last shot of game 2. Forget selling out -- I figured the worst he'd do was leave it within 3" of the pocket. Just watch the Alex vs Frost at HT for $20K ... I don't think he hit a single shot that badly in EIGHT HOURS. Honestly shocking.

I do not agree this notion that pool is supposed to be a money making racket. Just because I'm good at pool and spend a lot of time working on my game doesn't mean I want to or even like gambling or otherwise playing for money. Especially if it's a game I don't like, John.

Correction to a comment that JJ and John Schmidt made about the winners of the Open Championship it's not a 10 year exemption it's an exemption until the player is 60

Alex's jabbing stroke seems uncharacteristic
