This topic is very interesting, especially regarding the part where the very young child that regularly suckles the mother became mahram to the family, although they are still under adoption law (no giving parent's name, limited inheritance 1/3 only as a WILL). That will really helps in maintaining the family harmony in the household.

You know what? I'm gonna adopt 5 to 6 children rather than producing the same. And also give them my name. This orthodox concept of haram adoption does not apply to me. They never gonna know that they are even adopted. I'll bring them up as my own children.

You adopt a child and foster them (breastfeed) and then you have to migrate somewhere. Then you want to take the child with you. You will get a passport made, passport asks for a fathers name in most cases, how do you manage that? You don’t know who the father of the child is. You adopted him/her from the orphanage or hospital… to get a visa you need to submit similar documents as well.

So an orphan in Islamic society will always be an orphan with no real family? In Islam, if you are a guardian of a child and don't have any other children nor family members left, can you leave that child everything in your will-since there is nobody else to give your stuff to?

Adoption being a good thing is rejected but why not slavery and sexual slavery??
Enslaving free non muslim is legal and good thing ?!
