📍 Alma Reville was an exceptional talent and yet few people know about her. Everyone remembers her only as Alfred Hitchcock's wife, but Alma Reville was so much more than that. Alma Lucy Reville was married to Hitchcock for 54 years... Born in London on 14 August 1899. They met on the set of Woman to Woman in 1922 and married on 2 December 1926. They had one daughter, Patricia. Alma was a screenwriter and contributed to practically all Hitchcock films - although she was no longer on the credits from the 1950s. She died after Hitchcock's death on 6 July 1982 in California.

Hi Age of Vintage 2, this is a fabulous look into Alma Revill's life. What an amazing woman she was. A pioneer way ahead of her time. She was very astute in her workplace, & certainly helped her husband Alfred Hitchcock, in many way's including her clever continuity skills, & a sharp eye for judging scenes that weren't quite right. Really enjoyed this video with lot's of unseen photos from his early life. Love Love from Australia 🇦🇺 📽🎬💙💚🧡💜💖🤩💥❤❤❤💋💋💋

You rarely hear about filmmakers, family or spouses.Hitchcock had a good lady to support him.

Alma Reville was pioneering and Peggy Robertson who also assisted hitchcock were part of the driving source in hitchcocks work ethic.

Wait, but the picture of Hitch in the thumbnail: could that possibly be an authentic photo of him half naked?

I don't think I've ever seen so many photos of a young Hitchcock. Nicely done video, but lose the repetitive Subscribe graphic. It's annoying.

She was quite an amazing and multi-talented Woman !
He didn't deserve such a refined, intelligent Woman !
I believe Tippy Hedren ! He ruined her Career because she found him repulsive ! And He was ! Do you see Miss Hedren in Much after Marney ? No ! Think of that abuse of power and it will sicken you horridly.

The gossip mongers told you would first have to go to bed with him before you could star in his movies.

How about no trying to own every aspect of entertainers or high profile people? Dissecting their lives and superimpose our desires and preferences on to them.

Yeah...I am hearing a whole lot of nonsense and gossip about what a bad man Hitchcock was ...and his poor Blonde movie stars were put upon. Well...movie stars are often Divas and will complain about their value and money and anything else their spoiled lives enjoy. Never heard old Hitchcock complain...and he was a genius. Lucky to have a supportive wife.

What an enormous disrespect for a great Film Director as Alfred Hitchcock is, in having that fake and humilliating portrait at the entrance of this video. I had always thought of you as a serious channel but today you showed your true colors. Pity.
