Does New glitch affect your honda or Acura vehicle?

Wanted to share some info on the new y2k22 bug. A lot of older year Honda and Acura vehicles are affected by this. Starting January 1, 2020 to the navigation system will reset the date and time to January 1, 2002. And the time will either be 12:00, 2:00, or 4:00 Depending on where the vehicle is. They’re saying that this will automatically fix itself in August 2022. However I believe Honda will issue a navigation update for this glitch. So check yours and see if yours is affected.

Yes, I have a Acura TL 2007 with a navigation system that was reset to 12:00. My clock radio is also affected with an incorrect time of nine minutes slow. Now, I'm always late but I have an excuse.

What’s really weird is that you can’t just reset the time yourself, but I agree with you, Honda just can’t wait until August to fix this.

My 2006 ridgeline was not affected because I replaced the headunit with an aftermarket one. I miss the days when cars just ran and something like the AC tripping a code didn't disable the vehicles entirely.

Dont have this issue cause mine is a 2018 1.5t Sport 6 speed manual.

She just crossed 10, 500 miles. Thinking about trading her in for the new civic SI 🤔

Sure they will do a software update That’s unbelievable you can’t do it I swore I changed the time in my newer accords though they do auto reset through GPS I just changed my time in my new car so it must be Honda specific That sounds annoying for people affected Hopefully a fast resolution way before August coming soon Great Vid Jon

One thing good about having OTA updates in my 2020 Accord Touring. No dealership visits at all whatsoever.

I just did the 4G update in my car a month ago or so. Vehicles with hotspot ability will need to do this update before February next month or risk losing internet functions until they visit a dealership which they will charge you just to manually update it. AT&T is getting rid of their 3G network next month that's why.

Honda needs to get the text messaging fixed. When it comes up on my screen, it’s not even who’s texting me

Great news, great video. I have a 2012 accord with onboard navigation and it has fallen victim to this. I also have a 2018 accord with navigation but this car is fine go figure. As of now there is no way to fix or change this, we just have to wait.

I've seen comments from people who said they fixed the problem themselves by disconnecting the battery and then reconnecting it a minute before 12:00, 2:00 or 4:00 (depending on the region they were in). They said the clock kept the proper date and time, and they were good to go. Does that make sense or sound like it would work? I have a 2008 Honda Civic that's stuck on January 1, 2002 at 4:00, and I'll just wait until Honda figures it out.

Can I activate the electronic meter like the American one? Middle Eastern cars come without an electronic meter that follows the speed numbers inside the dashboard. This feature came in the 2021 model, imported from the Middle East, but in America from the 2018 model, can I activate this service by programming?

I just had an issue with my screen. It reset itself I think a total of 3 times the other day while I was driving. Has anyone had this issue before as well. I have a 2018 Accord Sport

I just purchased my 2020 Accord Touring in March. I did this update a few weeks after buying it. I had no idea about the Feb deadline until I started receiving errors. I’m unable to do the remote services. Tech support has been trying to help resolve the issue, but they can’t. I have since received a letter saying I have to perform the update before 8/22. Problem is… I’ve already done it. Tech and the dealer has confirmed no open recalls on my car, yet Honda Link is saying they can’t see it on their end. This has been a nightmare trying to get this resolved. Do you think they will send out another OTA update?

Don't have this glitch but I do have an issue with the door handle unlock. When I go to the driver door and do the light grab of the handle, it unlocks but the latch is sticking on the driver door. I have to go around to the passenger door and reach across and throw the locking mechanism.
