ahhh that summer feeling...i've been trying to balance stressful end of the year work for school with enjoying summer in england; lots of late night productive library sessions, garden lunches, people-watching, picnics, punting, cooking. as my third year of college comes to an end, i've also been feeling more and more nostalgic and it's been a quite negative (?) feeling...let me know if you guys can relate! as always, thank u guys for sticking around and i hope ur having a great start to the summer ☀️

i’m going to miss oxford diaries. whenever i feel overwhelmed, i think to myself, “i’m going to watch jing” because of how peaceful and serotonin-boosting your videos are. your videos are also so motivating! even though it’s summer, i have such an academic drive! i can’t believe oxford diaries is almost over, it just feels like yesterday when you posted your first video. although it’s sad, we should think of it as a new chapter when oxford diaries is over. if you decide to keep posting after oxford diaries, maybe there can be cornell diaries for your senior year! i like to think of the poem by robert frost called “nothing gold can stay”. it talks about how everything good must come to an end. although it’s sad that this era is ending, oxford diaries won’t be forever! many great things are to come after oxford diaries!

the speech at the start about nostalgia honestly hit so hard. i feel like i'm all the girls i once was but at the same time i do need to move on from the past and stop being sad about the memories gone so i can focus on the future. on another note, i'm going to oxford for my first year in october, hence all the talk of the future, and hence why i'm watching these oxford vlogs. very lovely video :)
